Moeck Rottenburghs are today's most-played baroque solo recorders. It is the instrument of choice for those who wish to play music at an advanced level. This is a reliable instrument with a tone that carries through, whether played in small or large ensembles. It also lends itself perfectly for solo pieces, particularly for sonatas with basso continuo. This is an ideal all-around instrument: reliable, balanced and full-toned. Depending on the wood, it has a warm, full sound for ensemble playing and is beautifully clear and expressive as a solo instrument. All Rottenburgh recorders have double holes or double keys and are played with the baroque fingering technique. The sopranos are all a three-piece construction except for M4290 and M4291, which are two-piece models. All three-piece sopranos sold with a hard, cloth-covered case. The two-piece models are sold in a cloth bag with leather lining. All cases contain a cleaning rod and cloth, cork grease, a certificate with manual for maintenance, fingering chart. A maintenance kit is included with all but maple and pearwood recorders.
