PRE ORDER: 23oz Colossus Selvage Denim

CURRENTLY IN PRE ORDER PHASE SHIPS: End Sept When we heard that there was an opportunity to acquire a few thousand yards of 23oz selvage from Kaihara earlier this year, we smash bought the entire lot. Woven in a heavyweight 4x4 construction using long staple yarns, this 23oz denim delivers serious mass without the usual stiff hand. Unlike standard 3x1 denim, where the warp yarn floats over three weft yarns and under one to create the familiar diagonal twill, a 4x4 construction uses a heavier four-by-four yarn structure that packs more yarn into the cloth in both directions. The fabric is dense, structured, and built for a lifetime of punishment, but the yarn gives it a surprisingly supple feel right out of the gate. Heavy as hell, but worth the trip.
