In May 1932, he was serving as the President of the Geneva World Disarmament Conference (convened by the League of Nations). The other letter printed on the back of the aforementioned explicitly ties back in that the sender states that an "eminent Artist" has agreed to paint a massive, life-sized allegorical piece titled "The Peace Conference". They reference that this artist recently finished paintings for Her Highness The Maharanee of Cooch-Behar (a prominent princely state in India). Given the Indian surname, this strongly implies S.
