Convergence on Hand Dyed Targhee Wool Worsted Yarn - 265 yd/115g
Convergence is a kettle dyed variegated, somewhat repeatable colorway featuring deep blues, teals, and chocolate and is inspired by the convergence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers into the Ohio River at the point in Pittsburgh. Dyelot 002 Targhee is a breed of sheep developed in the United States by the United States Department of Agriculture to be a dual purpose breed - meaning the fleece is lovely to use and the meat is tasty to eat. Targhee wool is next to skin soft and incredibly bouncy and full of squish factor as well as being incredibly durable. I fell in love with it as a handspinner and it's a pleasure for me to be able to offer it to non-spinners as an incredible hand dyed yarn. Targhee worsted is 265 yards per 4 oz/115g and knits up at 4 stitches to the inch on a US 6-8 (4.0 - 5.0 mm). It is a 3 ply construction and is handwash only (This yarn will felt!). Dyed in small batches using heavy metal free acid dyes in Allison Park, PA. The yarn is 100% Made in the USA from sheep to skein. Colors may vary according to monitors, but all effort has been taken to accurately depict the colors of the item. Ships in 1-3 business days. Free domestic shipping for all orders of $50 or more.
