Forge texture remains near the spine, but the rest of the blade is deeply hollow ground, reducing weight and drag, with a narrow secondary grind at the edge to give the edge strength. The secondary grind is not the sharpening bevel, but what remains from a typical convex edge. This combination of grind gives an extremely light yet robust blade. The handle is a beautifully figured piece of English walnut, attached with composite pins and satin finished.
