Girolamo Russo San Lorenzo Piano delle Colombe Etna Rosso 2022

Girolamo Russo was refounded in 2005 by Giuseppe Russo in homage to his father Girolamo, and Giuseppe returned to Passopisciaro on Etna's north slope after his father's death to convert the family farm into a commercial wine estate. Made with 100% Nerello Mascalese, the wine represents a selection of fruit from 80-year-old vines from a subsection of the San Lorenzo vineyard. The altitude is 750 metres above sea level. The estate is certified organic and practices minimal intervention both in the vineyard and in the cellar.
