That original cigar was eventually traced to AJ Fernandez. A limited production was made for the club and remained largely unknown outside its private rooms. When the blend disappeared, most assumed it was gone permanently. Five years ago, Privada quietly acquired a small production inspired by that forgotten release. The cigars were placed into controlled aging and left undisturbed. Five full years later, they are finally ready. La Genève is polished, restrained, and patient. It carries the cream and clarity of Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade, but underneath is unmistakable Estelí structure. This is not a mild cigar trying to be pleasant. It is a carefully aged cigar built to reveal itself slowly. Flavor Journey The pre-light offers honey, fresh hay, toasted almond, cream, lemon oil, and faint mineral sweetness. The first third begins with honey, toasted almond, fresh hay, and cream touched by gentle white pepper. The second third develops pressed nuts, citrus peel, and warming spice as the Estelí tobacco adds structure.
