The Vault African Glass with Freshwater Pearl

Born of fire in Ghana. Each bead on this Loop is made by the Krobo people of Ghana using a technique passed down for centuries: glass is crushed to a fine powder, poured into hand-carved clay molds, and fired until the particles fuse into one — with a cassava leaf stem forming the hole, burning away in the kiln. No two beads emerge alike. We string them by hand with a touch of freshwater pearl, and finish each piece with our patented loop — so the strand that carries a centuries-old craft also keeps your glasses close.
