1954 Midwestern AAU Gymnastics Champion Trophy

A Championship from Nebraska Gymnastics History This tall vintage trophy commemorates a 1954 Midwestern AAU gymnastics championship, with the deeply engraved base recording the title and year. Nebraska already had an established men’s gymnastics program by this period, and the trophy’s raised athlete figure and traditional competition design fit the sport. A gold tone cup and fluted column rise from a rounded wood base, creating a substantial championship piece from an early era of Nebraska gymnastics.
