PHJ Medium (25x)

Note: Please see Product Info sheet under Related Documents for further information. This medium was developed for Cannabis sp. (Pepe et al. 2026). Instructions for Preparation: Dilute 40 mL/L of P6000A to 50% of total medium volume with DI water; stir until mixed (1-5 min). Add 40 mL/L of P6000B and dilute to 70% of total medium volume with DI water; stir until mixed (1-5 min). Add 40 mL/L of P6000C and dilute to 90% of total medium volume with DI water; stir until mixed (1-5 min). Add carbohydrates and stir until mixed. This product is tested with 30 g/L sucrose. Add heat-stable hormones and stir until mixed. Note adding greater than 1 mL of a concentrated hormone solution dissolved in base could result in precipitation. Add gelling agent. Note: Gellan gums may not gel at normal concentrations of use. Adjust pH to 5.6-5.8. Autoclave.
