Marrakech

"All my paintings originate from my observations with a camera this was the sort of cityscape I would love to have spent a day painting except for the searing heat and I had just a few days to see this fantastic city. It’s always the way, If I’m out researching and gathering material to work from and the light is good I can’t stop. The opposite in fact I have to see and record as much as possible in these glorious conditions. The obvious element in this painting are the satellite dishes. A marker of our times. Take them away and this image could be from anytime in the last 400 years." Oil on canvas. The frame pictured is for illustrative purposes. For information regarding the framing, please contact us.
