A special collaboration between REN and the surreal yet lovable character, Opantsu-kun. Opantsu-kun is a popular character created by Kanako, a model and illustrator. For this collaboration, we created a special version with a dedicated pocket designed to fit the Opantsu-kun pouch neatly inside. In Japan, “nui-katsu”—taking a favorite plush character along on outings and enjoying everyday moments together—has become a popular way to enjoy plush characters. With Opantsu-kun peeking playfully out from the pocket, this collaboration brings that idea into everyday life with a touch of humor. REN and Kanako have stayed in touch over the years, including through interviews on our website. From this ongoing connection, this special project naturally took shape. The Kite Shoulder pairs a clean, sharp square silhouette with the soft, full texture of Still goatskin. Even while wearing it crossbody, you can quickly tighten the strap by pulling one end with a single hand. Loosening the strap requires both hands, while the natural friction of the supple leather helps keep the knot securely in place during use. The stitched strap ends and the doubled section of the shoulder strap add subtle design accents. Thoughtfully balanced, these details bring just the right amount of character without overwhelming the overall design. Inside are two pockets for organizing small essentials. The combination of supple Still goatskin and a structured lining helps minimize the appearance of items with sharp edges on the exterior. Although it has no gusset, the supple leather flexes to accommodate more than you might expect. It easily fits a laptop and A4-sized documents, while the tie closure keeps your belongings secure. With its clean, sharp silhouette, it's also a popular choice for work. A Note on Color Transfer A small note for when you’re heading out with Opantsu-kun. This bag is made from dyed goatskin leather. Due to the nature of the leather, color may transfer to the plush toy, clothing, or other items through friction or when the bag becomes wet from water or perspiration. Please take particular care when taking the plush toy in and out of the pocket, as well as when using the bag while wet, such as on rainy days. If you leave the plush toy in the bag for an extended period, please check it occasionally to make sure it is not pressed too firmly against the leather. Once color transfer occurs, it may be difficult to remove. With a little care, we hope you’ll enjoy both Opantsu-kun and the bag for many years to come. STILL Original goatskin with soft texture.
