A Negotiated Abundance

A rust-colored base holds layers of cream weaving and a tangle of dimensional knots and loose fibers. Each layer brings a different texture, balancing areas of structure with an unruly surface that extends outward. This piece came together through repeated trimming, reshaping, and reworking - a little give and take between the materials and the maker. An original, one-of-a-kind fiber artwork from Off the Grid, presented in a light wood shadow box. Yarn, silk ribbon and mixed fibers, shadow box frame. 17″ W × 21″ H. Measurements include the frame.
