Arab Strap - Half-Told Tales (Indie Exclusive, Chick Yellow Vinyl) (2 LP)

Half-Told Tales is the ninth studio album from Scottish duo Arab Strap, Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton, arriving almost thirty years after their debut single. It follows the acclaimed 2024 album I'm Totally Fine With It Don't Give a Fuck Anymore and was recorded with longtime collaborator Paul Savage, whose credits include Mogwai, Belle and Sebastian, and Franz Ferdinand. The record is full of the pair's trademark wit and dark humour, moving from quiet, brooding moments to what the band call a "disco-metal incantation that might make you dance." Moffat's candid storytelling and Middleton's textured guitar work are in full force on the lead single "You You You," making this a fitting chapter in one of Scotland's most influential indie catalogs.
