Group 2: For anyone practising triple steps, Mohawks, their first single jumps and their first one-foot pirouettes. Group 3: For anyone practising single jumps, the Axel if applicable, and their first double jumps, as well as various spins and difficult steps such as twizzles, loops, back triples and turns. Target group: The camps are primarily aimed at adults. The minimum age is 13. Age will be checked on entry. No refunds will be given in the event of false information, as tickets could have been sold to others. The coaching team (subject to change!) (We speak German & English) Kat Miles Kat is a licensed figure skating coach, fitness and personal trainer, and athletic coach for competitive sport. She was a competitive skater in singles and pairs (Olympic squad), a show skater for various show formats worldwide, and a professional skater and coach on the TV programme ‘Dancing on Ice’ on SAT.1 (seasons 1 and 2) alongside Detlef Soost and Peer Kusmagk. Kat founded SKATE Club in 2019 and has been working as managing director of SKATE & Media GmbH since 2024. Lauren Anderson Lauren grew up in Minnesota, USA, and took up figure skating at the age of seven. After competing in numerous competitions in the USA and Canada, and winning two gold medals in freestyle and moves, Lauren joined ‘Disney On Ice’, where she performed in over 5,000 shows worldwide. During her time with the show, she worked as a principal soloist and adagio skater, was an understudy in an aerial acrobatics routine on the ice, and held the role of ‘Ladies Line Captain’. After her active touring career, Lauren began giving both private lessons and group classes, whilst also skating with the American Ice Theatre on the side. She enjoys working with skaters of all ages and ability levels – from beginners to advanced. Since moving to Germany in 2020, Lauren has been delighted to be part of the figure skating community and to share her passion for the sport. Angela Thomasius Angela grew up in Davos and has a background in figure skating. She competed in the Swiss Junior Women’s Championships. From an early age, she was drawn beyond the confines of her own discipline: even as a teenager, she was on the ice in Davos as a coach – in ice hockey, to be precise. For a time, she even took charge of training a women’s ice hockey team in the top division. At EHC Engelberg, she has been teaching young hockey players power skating for years, helping them develop strength, stability and agility on their skates. In Engelberg, she also ran the children’s courses at the International Skating Club. As a qualified primary school teacher with a master’s degree, she also knows how to teach technique in a way that is both easy to understand and enjoyable. Important note on pricing & hotel bookings The price covers only the costs of using the ice rink and the organised training sessions. Private training, meals, hotel accommodation and travel to and from the venue are not included and must be organised and paid for by the participants themselves if required.
