"What if we made the thickest Oxford on the market?" Is a question we no longer have to ask ourselves thanks to the arrival of our new Canvas Oxford. Developed exclusively for us by our partner mill in Japan, this remarkable cloth is heavier than even your favorite canvas jacket. But trust us, it's still very much Oxford cloth. Weighing in at a hefty 13 oz./yd., this shirt is nearly three times the weight of our standard Cambridge Oxford. It retains Oxford's defining basket-weave construction, but trades traditional shirting yarns for something substantially more robust. In place of Cambridge Oxford's 40s singles, we've opted for 30s triples in the warp and 30s doubles in the weft. In other words, we've packed considerably more cotton into the weave, creating a cloth with extraordinary heft, pronounced texture, and a character unlike any Oxford we've made before.
