Merchant & Mills Joa Sewing Pattern (PDF or Printed)

Joa is a simple, lined wrap top with ties at the side. Choose to make it quilted or not. Joa looks great in denim, layered cotton jacquard or quilted cottons. Wear on its own or layer it up in the colder months as a gilet. This pattern includes instructions for quilting your own fabric or you can use one of our pre-quilted Indian Cottons* or layered cotton jacquards. It’s a quick and satisfying make and a simple introduction to quilting for beginners. All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated. This PDF is made up of 2 - A0 pages and 40 A4 pages. This PDF is layered. Skill level - Advanced beginner. Fabric suggestions - For prequilted fabric*: quilted cotton jacquard and quilted cotton. For creating your own quilted fabric: lightweight linen & cotton, cotton blends, lightweight denims up to 5oz. We recommend using 100% cotton wadding for this make which is widely available at quilting shops and suppliers.⁠ For non quilted fabric: midweight cottons and denim. *If using our pre-quilted Indian cotton, this has a 98cm usable width; if making XS/S, please use the lay plan/quantity for M-L. If making M-3XL, add 20cm to your fabric requirement and use lay plan as suggested. See size chart in product images.
