Vintage Aubusson with an all-over trellis of grape vines. Garlands of gold, brown and olive leaves with blue grape clusters form a diamond lattice across an ivory field, finished with a narrow brown edge. Light, open and easy to live with.Hand woven in the Aubusson tapestry technique: a flat weave made entirely by hand, colour by colour, the same way carpets were woven in Aubusson, France in the 18th century. 100% wool, with no pile and no latex. Carpets from this workshop carry a label stating they use more than sixty shades of wool and take a team of designers and weavers over a year to complete.Brand new and never used, yet vintage: it was woven decades ago and is no longer in production.
