mf | atelier Con Fuoco
Violin, single piece, mezzo-forte workshop Play it the way it looks. Red, orange and yellow, drawn freehand over black. Flames across the top and the back. And running through them, bands where the bare carbon fiber weave has been left untouched. This is not a decal and not a print. Our airbrush artist drew every flame by hand, contour by contour, with edges so clean that from a distance you take them for printed. Where the weave lies open, you see the material itself, under high gloss, as part of the picture. On stage that means: the violin arrives before the first note does. Red Swarovski crystals in the pegs catch the light the moment you bring it up under your chin. The Cordasonus pickup is built in. A proprietary treated crystal from a German ceramics technology company sits in the bridge and registers pressure changes there and nothing else. Acoustically this changes nothing: unplugged it sounds exactly like a violin without a pickup. Connects through a 6.3 mm jack, no battery, rotates in the bridge in 45 degree steps. Con fuoco, with fire. The marking appears in a thousand scores. This time it is on the instrument.
