Everything you need to know about the Watery Global This Global SUP board is an all-round paddleboard that, with its length (320 cm), width (82 cm) and volume (280 L), is suitable for both older children and adults. Unlike other paddleboards in this price range, our paddleboard features a 6-layer construction with 2 layers of PVC, giving it significantly greater rigidity and stability, as well as increased durability. This extra rigidity even makes it possible for two adults to stand on the board at the same time without it bending in the middle. (Total maximum load: 220 kg) Overall, this unique combination of size, shape and construction makes it ideal for beginners and those new to paddleboarding, as well as for the whole family. It is well suited to longer trips on calm water and on water with waves of up to 50 cm. Benefits of the paddleboard and equipment Large tri-fin: A removable centre fin is located underneath the board. Large, non-slip EVA foam platform in the centre of the board, providing a comfortable standing area with room for two people at the same time. Smart luggage net for securing drybags, water bottles, sandals, packed lunches and similar items, so they do not fall into the water while you paddle. Inflatable board and smart storage backpack make it easy to carry the entire board and all the equipment on your back. Adjustable, detachable paddle that can be adjusted from 160 cm to 210 cm, making it suitable for both older children and adults. More technical details about the paddleboard The centre of the board is constructed with 2 layers of PVC rather than the usual single layer (2,800 g/sqm2). This provides increased rigidity and, consequently, greater stability, allowing even complete beginners to stand on it with ease. Between the two layers of PVC are so-called drop stitches, reinforced with an adhesive surface to which the PVC layers are welded. This means that, despite having 2 layers, the board remains lightweight while gaining additional rigidity. In total, the board is constructed from 6 layers. In addition to the 2 layers of PVC and the drop-stitch construction, it features the EVA mat on top, which provides a non-slip standing surface, as well as two additional nylon layers between the mat and the PVC layers, making it resistant to impacts and scratches. The different layers are welded together rather than glued, ultimately giving the board a significantly longer lifespan. All parts fit into the storage bag, which measures approximately L: 90 cm, W: 50 cm and H: 25 cm when everything is packed inside. The board alone weighs 10 kg. Air The paddleboard has a maximum pressure of 15 PSI = 1.03 bar, providing greater buoyancy than boards of a similar size. It contains 280 litres of air, making it suitable for users weighing 40 kg and for users weighing up to a maximum of 220 kg. Shape The shape of the paddleboard—particularly its nose—is important in determining what type of board it is. Our Global SUP board has a pin nose, which is ideal for beginners. This allows you to reach a high speed quickly, while the standing area is slightly wider and therefore easier to balance on. Construction The board consists of a total of six layers, two of which are PVC layers. This gives it its unique rigidity, durability and comfortable standing platform. The PVC runs vertically through the woven fibres from the deck and through the inner cavity. This is the popular technology known as drop-stitch. Paddle The paddle is made of hard plastic, making it more rigid and therefore more efficient in the water. This gives you the ideal combination of quality while keeping the price low. Paddle size The paddle blade measures 100 sq in, which is the standard size for all-round paddleboards and is suitable for both adults and children. The paddle length can be adjusted from 210 cm to 170 cm. - A good rule of thumb for all-round paddles is that they should be 15–20 cm longer than your height, which is why this paddle is suitable for children, women and men. Our board is an “All-round paddleboard”: This is an all-round paddleboard, which means you can use it in all conditions. It is therefore ideal for beginners who want to try their hand at the sport, while experienced paddlers can also enjoy it thanks to its width and smooth glide through the water. An all-round board gives you a wide-shaped board that can be used on both calm water and in waves. It also features drop-stitch construction, allowing it to be inflated while retaining its rigid shape. In addition, the surface of the paddleboard has a non-slip deck, making it easier to stand securely. In short, it makes your time on the water effortless and enjoyable, with plenty of freedom to manoeuvre thanks to its ideal width and thickness. As well as being inflatable, the board is equipped with a durable handle, making it easy to transport when inflated. The luggage net also allows you to securely attach your equipment to the board.
