Salieri Daylily

Salieri Daylily 'Salieri' daylily adds a touch of mystery to the garden. A wonderful complement to the light colors typically associated in the early summer garden, these dark purple-black blooms with a yellow throat are well over 5" and stand tall on scapes over 2' in our East Tennessee garden. As an early season bloomer, we begin to see the deeply gorgeous blooms of Salieri around the first of June. If you live to our north, you'll see them a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us. Salieri is a dormant daylily. That means it is best grown in areas that receive a sustained winter cold period like those in zones 8 and lower.
