Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis x beccarii
A hybrid of B. phalaenopsis, the largest species in the genus Bulbophyllum, with leaves reaching 5′, and B. beccarii, another unusually large Bulbophyllum. B. beccari twists its way up a treetrunk, with leaves that are oriented upwards, forming what look like ‘leaf cups.’ Leaves can reach 20″ inches. These are small plants, but growing quickly. They do well in warm conditions and very high humidity, and make wonderful greenhouse specimens. Available plants are well established in 2″ pots. The last photo is representative of the plant you will receive.
