Silver Cased Compass, Barometer and Thermometer

A superb pocket sized compass, barometer and thermometer, designed for travel. Made by English silversmiths Alfred Clark, 20 Old Bond Street. Hallmarked London 1899. Dimensions: 5 cm/2 inches (diameter) x 2.25 cm/⅞ inch (height). Alfred Clark were amongst the best of England's goldsmiths & silversmiths in the late 19th and early 20th century and were 'By Warrant of Appointment' to his Majesty the King and to her Majesty Queen Alexandra as well as their royal highnesses the Prince and Princess of Wales. They were also a manufacturer of exquisite fitted travelling bags.
