Mirelle, Collector of the Solstice Rain
Once each year, on the night of the spooky solstice, the rain begins. It does not fall as ordinary water-but as memory. Mirelle walks quietly beneath it, gathering what others have lost. A laugh forgotten. A name no longer spoken. A moment that slipped away unnoticed. She keeps them carefully, sealed in glass and shadow, never to be returned in quite the same way. Beneath her umbrella, something stirs- faces half formed, fragments caught in the falling dark watching, waiting, remembering. She does not take without reason. Only what has begun to fade.
