Lennon Tool Bar 2025 Taiwan Design Expo Special Edition Ink - E Hua Shi

As an exhibitor at the 2025 Taiwan Design Expo that took place in Changhua, October 2025, Lennon Tool Bar launched a collection of special edition fountain pen inks dedicating to Changhua’s local culture and history: Jasmine, E Hua Shi, Mirror. Note – Lennon Tool Bar is based in Changhua County. Lennon Tool Bar 2025 Taiwan Design Expo Special Edition Ink – E Hua Shi 惡化市 (City of Radical Thought) The E Hua Shi ink pays tribute to Changhua City’s legacy as the “City of Radical Thought”, originally a negative moniker given by the authority during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan at the turn of 20th Century. At that time, Changhua’s vibrant intellectual scene—marked by reading clubs, salons, and progressive forums on equality and autonomy—was deemed “dangerous” by the authority and the city was called “E Hua Shi,” or “land of corrupting ideas.” Rather than rejecting this label, the people embraced it with pride, turning it into a cause for courage and transformation. The ink aims to captures that spirit of fearless inquiry and honors Changhua’s proud tradition of questioning, reflecting and introducing reforms. E Hua Shi is a deep purple blue-black ink, packaged in a 30ml-size glass bottle. Ink Leaflet Description: "A century ago, waves of new ideas rose here.
