“Helen” 1958 Tea-Length Wedding Dress

Gorgeous Helen is a tea length wedding dress from 1958. Sophisticated geometric lace frames a flattering wide neckline. The bodice is fitted close to the body with a seam and trim at the underbust and then it opens up into big pleats and an amazing full skirt. The fabric is sheer silk Organdy over a medium weight taffeta like lining fabric. Underneath the satin and organdy is a built in tulle crinoline. We have shown it photographed with a second full crinoline as well to show it at its fullest and originally worn way. The silhouette is stunning! Buttons all the way down the back and on the sleeves with matching covered buttons. Bodice is fully lined. A beautifully made dress with elegant details and craftsmanship that is seldom seen in modern times. The fullness of the skirt and fit of the bodice are super flattering.
