This wine is made from 80-year-old Carignan grapes grown on clay-limestone and marl soils at high altitudes. The grapes are whole-cluster macerated and naturally fermented by wild yeasts. After 12 months of tank aging, it is bottled unfined and unfiltered, then aged for another 12 months in bottles, resulting in a rich aroma of blackberry and cassis, with a silky tannin structure.
