Spiral Stitch Quilt

This is a wholecloth quilt where the quilting stitches form the design pattern of the quilt itself. The stitching pattern takes its inspiration from 'raimon' or spiral stitch often used as a mending stitch for garments. It is entirely handstitched using natural oatmeal-coloured Japanese sashiko thread. The quilt contains 100% cotton inner wadding, blue + white linen backing and is hand finished with double edged linen binding. It was a joy to make. Comes with its own bespoke linen presentation bag.
