Masterclass Day 2 - Support and Therapy for Autistic and/or ADHD Adults

The course will increase the participant’s knowledge and understanding of common clinical and daily life issues for autistic adults, understanding how these can be magnified and maintained within the context of autism and/or ADHD, and considerations about how to provide support and therapy. The course builds on and extends practitioners’ discipline knowledge to allow the participant to be able to become neurodiversity-affirming in their practice and adapt therapy for a neurodivergent adult. Specific topics include autistic burnout, depression, anxiety and trauma; self-identity; personality, eating and addictive disorders; sexuality; psychosis; and gender identity. The course material is presented using a combination of didactic teaching and Q&A. There are several Handouts included to assist clinicians in their practice and to supplement the teaching process.
