This 4-post Summit Ares 2.0 conversion kit transforms your half rack into an all-in-one system by placing the Smith machine attachment and Ares 2.0 functional trainer on the same 26” power rack crossmember — maximizing modularity while maintaining a compact footprint for your home gym. This kit’s 26” crossmember unlocks one of the most compact and cost-effective configurations available, making both cable and Smith integration possible on a 4-post rack. The Smith machine runs on a fixed 0-degree vertical path, and the rack’s depth prevents some incline bench angles with Nighthawk and BlackWing benches. These tradeoffs payoff in a streamlined system built for adaptability. The Smith machine barbell provides 19 levels of bar height adjustments for 93" racks, 16 levels for 80" racks and features REP’s Colorado-style medium knurling profile, delivering a balanced feel for both comfort and control during training. Dual IWF/IPF knurl as well as center knurl markings provide versatile hand placement references for Olympic and powerlifting movements. The Smith machine frame is finished in a durable metallic black powder coat for enhanced scratch and wear resistance, while the 188 cm Smith machine barbell is coated in hard chrome for a smooth feel, long-lasting durability, and corrosion resistance.
