Modern French Louis XV Style Hand-Carved Painted Sofa

A modern interpretation of the French Louis XV sofa, with contemporary proportions, a low back, deep seat, and feather-and-down-filled cushions for generous comfort. The hand-carved timber frame is shown in a softly antiqued old-white painted finish, adding depth and quiet character to the carved silhouette. This piece can be made in the client’s own fabric (COM), for which 9 metres is required, or with assistance in sourcing an appropriate fabric for your interior. (The piece photographed is custom upholstered in a sculpted velvet from distinguished French textile house Tassinari & Chatel.) The hand painted finish seen in the photo is in a gently antiqued Old White but on request - any paint tone can be specified at no additional cost, allowing the piece to be tailored precisely to its setting. A small number of frames may be held in stock to be custom finished within 4-6 weeks. Pieces crafted entirely to order carry an approximate 16-week bespoke lead time.
