The YubiKey 5 Nano FIPS (Firmware 5.7) is a low-profile USB-A hardware security key designed to remain plugged into a device, FIPS 140-3 validated by a NIST-accredited laboratory (CMVP Certificate #5291). It meets Authenticator Assurance Level 3 (AAL3) under NIST SP800-63B with FIDO2, U2F, PIV (Smart Card), Yubico OTP, OATH (HOTP/TOTP), OpenPGP, and static password support, plus strengthened 140-3 cryptography (RSA-3072, RSA-4096, Ed25519, SCP11).Built for regulated environments still standardised on USB-A, including government agencies, defence contractors, and enterprise IT where always-connected authentication is preferred, it provides phishing-resistant compliance with a validated cryptographic module.
