AANZHPBA Pacific Membership

In recognition of the work undertaken by surgical colleagues in the Pacific islands in treating patients with hepatopancreaticobiliary conditions, and the growing importance of HPB surgery in this region, the AANZHPBA has created a new membership category for surgeons working fulltime in the Pacific islands whose practice includes a significant HPB caseload. In scope and privileges Pacific membership will equate to full membership of the AANZHPBA. The eligibility criteria the Pacific membership category are A surgeon working fulltime in the Pacific islands A practice with a significant HPB caseload Nominated and proposed by full members of the AANZHPBA on the relevant application document. Payment of an AUS$100 annual membership fee following ratification by the AANZHPBA Board. Membership will be on a yearly basis and renewable annually. Pacific membership will convert to full membership, with associated fees, if the Pacific member transfers their place of work to Australia, New Zealand or another country located outside of the Pacific region.
