D7578 - "Kakishibu Sashiko" Indigo Jacquard Denim Cap
The Studio D'Artisan D7578 Kakishibu Sashiko Cap brings together two of Japan's oldest natural dyeing traditions in a six-panel baseball cap built to age with serious character. The warp is indigo-dyed and the weft runs kakishibu, the persimmon tannin technique that has been used in Japanese textile and lacquerwork for centuries, and the combination produces a surface that will develop in a way no synthetic dye can replicate. The sashiko-inspired woven texture adds a tactile depth to the fabric that becomes more pronounced as the cap breaks in over time. An SDA original red rayon tab, single red and white eyelet stitching, and an adjustable strap with brass fastener round out a cap that carries a lot of history in a very small object. 100% cotton sashiko weave Indigo-dyed warp, kakishibu persimmon-dyed weft Classic 6-panel baseball cap SDA original red rayon tab Single red and white eyelet stitching Adjustable strap with brass fastener Made in Japan
