John Short lives in Dalkey, County Dublin. He graduated from Edinburgh College of Art and took an MA at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London. His many awards include the RCA Drawing Prize, the RCA/Berger Colour Prize, the President’s Award given by the Watercolour Society of Ireland and the Artist’s Prize awarded by the Royal Watercolour Society in London. His drawings have appeared in Vogue, Harpers & Queen, the Irish Times and the Observer. He is a frequent exhibitor in Ireland, the UK and internationally.
