These absolutely unique baskets are made from dried banana ‘trees’ (they are actually plants and not trees!) by villagers from Northern Thailand. They are durable, stylish and absolutely 100% eco-friendly… Banana plants are prolific throughout Thailand and are often discarded when they stop bearing fruit, so by a unique method of drying and weaving, they are given a new lease of life.
