Courage (thermal) (GITD)
Have you seen Courage The Cowardly Dog? It isn’t for the faint of heart. How this was ever considered a show for kids is a mystery to us. This was the first horror show that either of us was exposed to and it opened up a can of nightmares and creativity for years to come. This thermal shifts from lavender (warm) to a deep violet (cold), and is loaded up with a multitude of iridescent and multichrome flakes that shift blue/violet/pink and pink/orange/gold and sprinklings of pink/purple reflective glitter. To capture the spookiness of the show, this also glows in the dark a ghostly blue-violet (must be charged with a uv flashlight first). This one will pull more warm or cool toned purple depending on your personal undertone and lighting. This scaredy-dog nail polish nail polish comes in a 15 ml (.5 fl oz) bottle with a paddle brush. A Note About Glow In The Dark (GITD) Shades: GITD nail polish needs to be "charged" to be most effective. Some shades will naturally glow, but some will need to be charged to activate the glow effect. To charge your GITD shades, you will need a uv flashlight (not included or sold here). Use the light for 30 seconds per nail (depending on the size of the light, you may be able to do your whole hand at once). Depending the on the type and particle size of the glow in the dark pigment, the appearance and length of the glow time will vary. Make sure to look at swatch photos to be sure you'll be happy with the glow color and effect. Shades that are both GITD and another effect, such as solar or thermal, will have a primary glow in the natural state (warm if thermal, or indoors if solar). Additionally, the pigment that makes the polish glow will settle over time and the bottle will need to be turned upside down overnight before use and/or shaken. A Note About Thermals: Thermals are a type of nail polish that shifts between multiple shades. The pigment works by shifting colors using heat, and over time, that pigment stops being as effective. Thermals have a recommended shelf life of 6 months before they stop transitioning and will become one of the colors permanently. To ensure the longest possible shelf life, store thermals in a cool dark place, and avoid placing the bottles near direct sunlight. To best extend the life of thermals, Apocalypse Polish makes thermals when you place your order, so please allow an additional week for processing (a total of 21 days until your order ships).
