Thageini, CM Washed - Kenya
This coffee was produced by members of the Aguthi Farmer’s Co-operative Society at Thageini Wet Mill in Nyeri, Kenya. The cooperative works with hundreds of smallholder producers and focuses on quality improvement through training, farm support, and careful cherry selection. Fully ripe cherries are hand sorted before being placed into sealed CO₂ filled tanks for a four-day controlled fermentation. The coffee is then pulped, washed, and dried slowly on raised beds for 15–18 days. This process enhances sweetness, mouthfeel, and fruit clarity while maintaining the bright structure Kenyan coffees are known for. This is a modern and expressive Kenyan coffee with clarity, sweetness, and balance. As filter, it highlights juicy citrus and florals with excellent clarity. As espresso, the honeycomb sweetness deepens into a rich and syrupy cup while retaining vibrant acidity.
