This listing is for a fabric remnant of our Brother Rabbit Forest Green cotton fabric measuring 151 x 39cm This Licensed William Morris Design was first produced in May 1882. It is also known sometimes as Brer Rabbit and was inspired and named after a character in Uncle Remus, His song and Sayings by J.C.Harris (1881) which William Morris would read to his daughters Jenny and May. The design was produced at Merton Abbey using the Indigo discharge method of printing. The Birds and rabbits within the design were drawn Morris’ good friend and colleague by Philip Webb. The 100% cotton cloth has been coated in a clear gloss polish wipe clean pvc coating which is soft and drapes well. Just like all our fabric, our William Morris Brother Rabbit pvc is printed and pvc coated in the United Kingdom.
