DATE: Late Victorian, c.1900 I ain't sayin' she a gold digger... A cool and collectable gold rush charm, in reference to the the great gold rushes of the late 19th century in South Africa, Australia and USA. It modelled as a little shovel and pick and set with gorgeous little diamonds at each end. It's crafted in 18k yellow gold with platinum settings, and it dates from the late Victorian period, circa 1900. These pieces were typically produced during the great gold rushes of the late 19th century. They were mostly made in Birmingham, then shipped out to the gold-mining areas. Gold miners liked to show off their new-found wealth, and one of these charms for a wife or girl-friend was a must. Who couldn't use a bit more love and wealth in life?
