Description : Late 19th to early 20th century washstand cabinet featuring two drawers above a two-door storage compartment. The piece retains its original paneled doors, decorative brass drawer pulls, key escutcheon, and turned wood towel bar supports. Finished in a later brown painted surface with visible wear from age and use, this cabinet offers practical storage while preserving its historic character. Originally designed for use as a bedroom washstand before indoor plumbing became commonplace, it now works well as an accent cabinet, entryway piece, or restoration project. Era Victorian, circa 1880–1910. Style Victorian Cottage / Country Furniture. Technique Solid wood joinery with paneled door construction, dovetailed drawers, and turned wood towel rail supports. Tools Used Table saw, molding planes, chisels, hand planes, mortise and tenon tools, drawer-making tools, turning lathe, and period hardware installation tools.
