This process typically involves facing and chasing the bottom bracket shell to clean the threads and remove any paint, clearcoat overspray, or internal frame coating buildup before installing a bottom bracket, as well as facing and reaming the head tube to remove any imperfections prior to headset installation. These procedures require specialized tools, and can be performed by any reputable bike shop in your area.
