Canister Damascus Chefs w/Buckeye Burl
This chef’s knife is forged from a custom canister Damascus billet composed of 52100 bearing steel, 15N20, and powdered steel. The result is a striking, one-of-a-kind pattern created through the mix of material and movement of steel during the forging process. The billet was forged entirely by hand, then carefully ground, heat treated, and hand-sanded to an 800-grit finish. A final etch brings the Damascus pattern to life, revealing layers of texture and visual depth unique to this blade. The traditional Wa-style handle is crafted from Buckeye Burl accented with a vibrant Birch Burl ferrule. Lightweight and comfortable in hand. Built for serious kitchen work and made to last generations, this knife reflects the marriage of performance, craftsmanship that defines every blade leaving my shop. Need a sheath? I can custom-make one for this knife and you can find that here. Note: The patina on a high-carbon knife is truly beautiful and unique, much like a snowflake—no two are alike. It's a sign of a well-used, well-loved knife. Over time, the blade will develop a natural patina and darken with use. However, be aware that it may stain if acidic food residue isn't promptly removed. Find care instructions here.
