Pre-Order for delivery in June 2026 LHY Audio LPS-T8 Linear Power Upgrade Kit is specially designed for the Eversolo T8 streamer/DAC, integrating an EMI AC filter board, a DC power regulator/filter board, and a German Sedlbauer flagship toroidal transformer. The solution employs ADI LT4320 ideal diode rectification, LT3042 ultra‑low‑noise regulation, Nichicon KG/FW audiophile‑grade capacitors, and Swedish RIFA safety capacitors, delivering comprehensive power optimization from mains input to final output. Core Upgrade Advantages Ripple Noise Reduced by Nearly 90% – After the upgrade, ripple drops to 2.5 µVrms at no load and only 3.5 µVrms under a 2A load. The stock unit’s ripple is 8–9 times higher, achieving a quantum leap in power supply purity. Overall Sound Improvement – A blacker background, richer detail, more transparent vocals, and tighter bass. Weak notes and overtones are clearly discernible, with outstanding layering. Elimination of Relay Coloration – The stock relay‑based automatic voltage switching is replaced by a manual 115V/230V terminal selector, shortening the power path and reducing loss. Original German Transformer – The low‑leakage‑flux German Sedlbauer flagship toroidal transformer features a double‑shielded structure with an independent ground, greatly suppressing electromagnetic interference. Important Notes : Although an installation guide is available for the upgrade, we strongly recommend using a qualified technician or electrician to perform the installation. This helps ensure all connections are completed correctly and minimises the risk of damage to the equipment, particularly the ribbon cables connected to the screen. Please note that the power supply upgrade will void the manufacturer’s warranty on the Eversolo T8. For this reason, it is important that the upgrade is carried out by a qualified professional. Any modification to electronic or electrical equipment is undertaken entirely at your own risk. Installation Guide available here Key Performance Metrics After the upgrade, ripple noise is significantly reduced. It drops to as low as 2.5 μVrms at no load and only 3.5 μVrms under a 2A load – roughly one-eighth to one-ninth of the stock unit’s ripple, representing a quantum leap in power supply purity. The output voltage is 12V DC, perfectly matching the power requirements of the Eversolo T8. The voltage selection method has been changed to a manual 115V/230V terminal, replacing the stock relay-based automatic switching. This shortens the power path, reduces losses, and completely eliminates the coloration that relays can introduce. Component & Process Comparison For the rectifier stage, the LHY upgrade uses an ADI LT4320 high-performance ideal diode bridge, while the stock unit uses MUR860 fast-recovery diodes. For voltage regulation, the upgrade employs an ADI LT3042 ultra-low-noise linear regulator paired with a PNP pass transistor; the stock unit uses an OPA277 op-amp with a MOSFET regulator. The main filter capacitors are upgraded to four Nichicon KG series 10,000 μF / 50 V audiophile-grade capacitors, compared to the stock six 6,800 μF / 35 V capacitors. The output filter capacitors are twelve Nichicon FW series 1,000 μF / 25 V professional low-ESR audio capacitors, supplemented by WIMA film capacitors, replacing the stock eighteen 1,000 μF / 25 V capacitors and smaller WIMA film capacitors. In terms of PCB and build quality, the upgrade features a 2.5 oz thick copper, 2.0 ENIG gold-plated audiophile-grade PCB, hand-soldered with WBT audiophile solder. The stock unit uses a standard 1.6 mm thick ENIG PCB. For the transformer, the upgrade uses an original German Sedlbauer flagship toroidal transformer with low leakage flux and a double-shielded structure with an independent ground, far outperforming the stock transformer. Professional Test Equipment This product undergoes rigorous testing with multiple professional imported audio instruments to ensure all performance metrics meet design standards. The test equipment includes: a Kikusui PLZ-03B multi-channel electronic load, an Agilent DSO-X2024A oscilloscope, a Keysight 34461A 6½-digit multimeter, an APx525 with BW52 audio analyzer, and a Keysight N9020A spectrum analyzer.
