After spending a lot of time in hospitals and going through multiple surgeries and procedures, hospital gowns became something really scary for me. They brought back a lot of fear and hard memories, so I started wearing my own special gown instead -something soft, comforting, and safe. I realized a lot of other kids feel the same way. That’s why I’m starting Charlie’s Courage Closet - a project to help provide comforting hospital gowns to children going through surgeries, treatments, and long hospital stays. Every child deserves to feel a little more safe, comfortable, and like themselves while healing. My goal is to raise 100 Brave Gowns.
