The Photon Blade™ delivers a truly unique lighting effect unlike anything seen in a standard lightsaber blade. Using a blue LED as its base, the blade’s specialised dye reacts to the wavelength of light, converting it into a vivid, eerie “Rakghoul” green. Light blue LEDs provide the best results, though any blue will produce the effect. The result is a striking blade with a distinct aura and corona, setting it apart from conventional green blades. It offers a noticeably brighter and more vibrant appearance, with approximately a 30% increase in brightness when used with a standard RGB setup such as a Tri-Cree LED. Under direct sunlight, the effect remains visible. Natural UV rays help enhance the glow, allowing you to still see the blade illuminated, along with flicker and Flash on Clash effects. While the appearance differs from indoor conditions, the blade maintains a strong and consistent presence even in bright environments. This means that with existing lighting technology, you can achieve one of the brightest and most visually distinctive green blades available, simply by changing the blade itself. Each blade is supplied with a dust cap. There is diffusion film inside also. These blades are ideal replacements for in-hilt led sabers.
