Power Slide
Mechanical seat sliders require a small gap or clearance between the top and bottom rails. This small clearance in necessary for the mechanical seat slider to function. However, this small clearance also introduces unwanted seat movement when subjected to simulated or real dynamic forces. Besides hard mounting the seat to the chassis, Sigma recommends an electric seat slider to prevent these unwanted movements that may dampen the motion experience. Sigma power seat sliders use an industry standard electric linear screw that remains rigid and prevents unwanted movements in dynamic motion applications. Features: the electric slider has 9.5" of total travel compared to manual slider with about 7". the front mounted motor allows the seat to sit low in the slider for a better or lower roll center. the front mounted motor, with the seat having a unique 45-degree thigh angle, allows us to use short side mounts, which prevent yield or flex in motion applications. the seat ships with a 14V 10A power adapter and all mounting hardware for aluminum extrusion chassis. Sigma has unique motion algorithms and extremely rigid billet actuators. The chassis, seat and seat slider are an important part of feeling those algorithms in the body. This is why we offer the Sigma Zeta chassis, our power sliders and Tillett B10 seat to enhance the haptic experience.
