Trust the SwimValue Panel by Solar Pool Supply for the perfect fit at home. Its improved, lighter weight build packs the same efficiency, reliability, and durability as the industry-leading Heliocol Panel. Solar Pool Supply's SwimValue solar panel features innovative engineering to simplify installation and boost heating performance. Crafted with durable materials and cutting-edge manufacturing, these panels are designed for longevity, with up to 20+ years of use and a 7 year manufacturer limited warranty. KEY FEATURES: Individual Tube Construction Reduces wind-lift stress, even in high-wind environments, eliminating the need for tie-down straps. Allows natural thermal expansion and contraction. Roof-friendly installation with fewer penetrations. Guards against rain rot by promoting rapid moisture evaporation. Mounting sled braces support individual tubes, maintaining alignment while preventing abrasion. Unibody Header Construction Unique over molded design fuses the header and individual riser tubes into a single, crack-free composition, eliminating potential failures. Improved flow with each tube directly opening into the header, reducing back pressure on your pump. Patented Clamping Connections Innovative panel clamp design eliminates the need for traditional rubber hose connections that deteriorate over time. Proven as the best connection type in the industry, ensuring a virtually maintenance-free solution. Low-profile clamping connections enhance aesthetics. Specialized Header Mounting Gator clamp top and bottom header mounting brackets secure panels while allowing for thermal expansion and contraction without stress. Eliminates the need for wind straps, reducing roof penetrations and installation complexity. WHAT SIZE DIY KIT DO I NEED? The most relevant aspect of sizing a system is based on the surface area square footage of your pool, rather than volume. We recommend matching anywhere from 50%-140% of your pools total surface area to solar collector coverage (solar panels). 3-4 Month Swimming Season: If you are only looking to add some additional heating during the summer months (3-4 months of warm swimming pool temperatures), 50% offset should be sufficient. 4-6 Month Swimming Season: If you are looking to heat your pool into the shoulder months (4-6 month swimming season), you will want to aim in the 60-80% range. 6-8 Month Swimming Season: If you are looking for a full spring-fall season extension (6-8 month swimming season), you will want to aim for 80%-100% offset. 8-9 Month Swimming Season: If you are looking for a full spring-fall season extension (8-9 month swimming season), you will want to aim for 100%-120% offset. 9-10 Month Swimming Season: If you are looking for a full spring-fall season extension (9-10 month swimming season), you will want to aim for 120%-140% offset. For example: If your pool is 500 square feet (20ft x 25ft surface area), then 50% solar coverage equals 250 square feet of solar panels 75% solar coverage equals 375 square feet of solar panels 100% solar coverage equals 500 square feet of solar panels 120% solar coverage equals 600 square feet of solar panels 140% solar coverage equals 700 square feet of solar panels To Measure your pool’s surface area, we recommend using the free online tool Google Earth on yours App-store or your computer’s web browser and following these steps: Type your address into the search bar and zoom into your address and pool. Click the Measure tool which looks like ruler on both the app and the website Start Selecting points one after another following along the edge of the water eventually completing the shape of your pool back connecting to the first point. Once completed, a pop up will appear showing the “total area” of your pool. This is the surface area that will be used to calculate what size system you need Which Panels Will Fit on Your Roof? The SwimValue solar panel is available in three panel sizes varying in length to accommodate all roofs, including: 4ft x 8ft (32 sq.ft.), 4ft x 10ft (40 sq.ft.), and 4ft x 12ft (48 sq.ft.). To ensure they fit your roof properly, follow these steps: To evaluate your roof we recommend using the free tool of google earth. Step 1: Assess Your Roof Layout/ Prioritize Roof Space When choosing roof space, prioritize in this order: South South West Western South East East (Add 15%-20% to compensate for BTU production loss) We don't recommend north-facing roofs unless they're flat and unshaded. If you're using a ground rack, face the panels southward. Step 2: Measure Your Roof Follow these steps to measure your roof on Google Earth: Type your address into the search bar and zoom into your address and roof. Select the area of the roof you plan to use, preferably a southern-facing portion. Click the Measure tool which looks like ruler on both the app and the website Measure Length. Panels must be oriented with the header and footer at the top and bottom. Measure the length from the lower pitch to the upper pitch of your roof. Add 6-18 inches for plumbing. For example: If you have 14ft, all panel sizes will fit with plumbing. If you have 12ft, the 10ft and 8ft panels will fit with plumbing. If you have 10ft, the 8ft panel will fit with plumbing. Measuring Width. Determine how many panels can fit in one bank. Each panel is 4ft wide. Measure the width from side to side of your roof and add 6-18 inches for plumbing. For example: If you have a 42ft wide roof, a bank of 10 panels will fit. If you have a 30ft wide roof, a bank of 7 panels will fit. If you have a 22ft wide roof, a bank of 5 panels will fit. These steps will help you determine which panels are suitable for your roof for a successful installation. If there are any obstruction like vents or air-conditioning units, we recommend using our row spacer kit to work around these. Individual tubes between the header and footer can often be pulled around smaller vents from 2-4” and are positioned in the middle of the panel.
