Latte Art Class
Want to pour like a pro? This focused workshop is specifically designed for the home barista who has mastered the shot but wants to conquer the pitcher, giving you the core skills to transform a standard coffee into a milk masterpiece. You will spend 1.5 hours with us, including an opportunity to work on our innovative Victoria Arduino Eagle One espresso machine, renowned for its precision temperature control and consistent steam pressure. In the first half of the class, we will demystify the science of milk chemistry, focusing on the mechanics of aeration and texturing to achieve that elusive "wet paint" shine. The second half is dedicated to developing the muscle memory required for fluid movement, guiding you through the physics of the push and the cut to pour your first symmetrical Heart. You will leave the class with the technical competence necessary to style your own drinks with confidence. What to Expect Milk Chemistry Fundamentals: Understanding protein and fat structures to create stable microfoam. We’ll cover pitcher positioning, stretching and temperature precision. The Canvas: Learning how to prepare your espresso base (the crema) to provide the perfect contrast for your art. Pattern Mechanics: A step-by-step breakdown of the "Heart" and Tulip designs, focusing on height, flow rate, and proximity to the surface. Troubleshooting & Flow: Guided coaching to identify common mistakes like stiff foam. You’ll learn how to correct your grip and pour speed in real-time. We carry out this class in our very own production area, so spaces for the class are strictly limited to 4 people to ensure a personal experience and maximum time on the steam wand.
