Miniature Augustus

Miniature plaster replica of our large portrait bust of Augustus Caesar. This mini plaster bust has been handmade by the Nicholas H Wood studio. The perfect affordable gift for Roman history lovers! The original ancient sculpture was probably found in Rome or its environs before 1737. It was acquired by Edmund Burke in the 18th c., and in 1812 entered the collection of the British Museum. Available in white plaster or with an antique finish, made with traditional artists' pigments. The effect may vary from the photo, as the wash creates a unique aesthetic every time.
